The first page of the preserved handwritten score bears the title Sad but Beautiful, the date 2010.8 and the signature Eric S. Lee. Its handwritten notes, phrasing and dynamics preserve a record of the score at that time.
The second page continues from the first. The third is a separate manuscript with a three-flat key signature. All three preserved sheets can be viewed below.

A precious piece! I loved the emotion and sensations that this piece conveys. The staccato notes didn't convince me; some of them give the feeling of a sudden interruption of sound, as happens at second 26 or 48. Apart from this, the composition is great. It is original and very well performed. The sound of the piano is perfect, and the piece is original and of good audio quality.

You used this concept as the main melody which isn’t a problem as long as you changed up the harmony - which you ended up doing. I love the composition, it's very beautiful how you play with the harmonies and develop the melodies, good interpretation and original with those pedal-free zones. I like that modulation to minor mode in the interlude and the subsequent progression between minor-major modes until it finally lands back in major. Great harmonic work!

I really like the piano line and the play of notes. It sounds very beautiful and gives a feeling of lightness and freedom. The first part has a positive note, but the second part has more dramatic moments. It is a repetitive work, but beautiful.

A closer look at the score
Continuous right-hand sixteenth notes form the surface of the piece, their upper notes outlining the melody. The opening left hand sustains a low C, clearly contrasting movement with stillness. It later alternates bass notes and chords with short rests, lending a different spring to the same right-hand figure.
After bar 25, Cm and Fm7 change a few notes in the familiar figure and darken its color. Rather than discarding the pattern, the piece places its familiar movement in different harmonies. At a tempo after rit., the opening pedal note returns; the quick movement stops on the final Cadd2 chord. Relating the title’s two emotions to the score draws attention to changes of brightness and tension within the same shape.
