“Bonita melodía. Me gustó el sonido del piano, es muy dulce, y la grabación tiene un volumen muy bueno y una reverberación ideal. No me convenció el final, el arpegio es bonito pero no encaja demasiado con la melodía en sí; un final más cerrado y corto, con un acorde en decadencia creo que hubiese quedado mejor. Por el resto, un trabajo excelente, y una muy buena interpretación y dinámica”

Nice melody. I liked the sound of the piano, it is very sweet, and the recording has a very good volume and ideal reverb. I wasn't convinced by the ending; the arpeggio is pretty but doesn't quite fit with the melody itself; a more closed and short ending, with a decaying chord, I think would have worked better. Other than that, an excellent job, and a very good interpretation and dynamics.

“an accurately named track as i feel there is a lot of sadness feeling with the emotional aspect of this track. the melody is fairly repetitive in areas, but it helps to get the point across. great chord progressions throughout. the playstyle is elegant and the composition and performance are all very good for the genre”

A closer look at the score

The right hand enters after an eighth rest rather than filling the first beat. Its descending double-note melody moves against the left hand’s rising and returning figure. Each recurrence of the melody is marked with cresc., mf or f, turning repetition into a means of gradually changing the emotional intensity.

Repeated short notes and broken figures interrupt the melodic texture in the middle. Near the end, the right hand reaches upward in a long phrase while the left hand holds a bass note. The sustained sound after rit. closes in a different direction from the earlier descending melody. The feeling emerges between settling downward and reaching upward, rather than remaining fixed on the title’s sadness.
